High Performance IC Anaerobic Tank with Food Wastewater
description
Food waste is characterized by "four highs": high water content, high organic matter content, high oil content, and high salt content, as well as its unique properties of being easily perishable and easily acidified.
IC anaerobic digesters made of GFS are the mainstream high-efficiency equipment for treating high-concentration organic wastewater from the food industry.
The Glass-fused-to-steel (GFS) tank are composed of two materials: glass and steel. The material of properties ensure excellent corrosion resistance, making GFS an ideal choice for IC anaerobic digester.

Glass fused to steel is a permanent, molecular bond created by fusing a specially formulated silica-based glass enamel to a base sheet of steel at very high temperatures (around 820°C / 1500°F) ,combines the advantages of both materials -- the strength and flexibility of steel and excellent anti-corrosion properties of glass.

Advantages
In response to the characteristics of food waste being high in oil, salt, and organic matter, this GFS bolted tank has the following advantages:
- Strong corrosion resistance
The porcelain glaze has a smooth, chemically inert surface, which can resist long-term corrosion from the high concentrations of organic acids and hydrogen sulfide produced during food waste fermentation.
- Excellent sealing
Bolted connections combined with specialized sealant effectively maintain the anaerobic environment inside the tank, preventing oxygen infiltration and ensuring the activity of methanogens.
- Flexible construction
Installation is less affected by weather and has a short cycle. It can be flexibly customized according to project scale, and can be easily expanded, disassembled, or relocated after completion.
- Long service life
The enamel coating is wear-resistant and aging-resistant, and its designed service life is typically over 30 years.
- Integrated Design
The tank top can be integrated with a double-membrane flexible gas holder, realizing integrated fermentation gas production and storage, saving space.

IC anaerobic reactors are the preferred anaerobic process for high-strength food wastewater, featuring high efficiency, small footprint, shock resistance, biogas production, and low sludge yield. They are suitable for large food processing plants and projects with high COD influent, fluctuating water quality, limited land availability, and a focus on energy conservation and resource recovery.
