GFS Tanks with Superior Anti-Corrosion Performance Specially for High-Purity Fish Oil Storage
description
Core storage challenges of fish oil: high susceptibility to oxidation, sensitivity to oxygen, light exposure and catalytic metal ions, as well as moisture ingress. Accordingly, the tank must deliver light shielding, airtight sealing, low catalytic reactivity, nitrogen blanketing compatibility and superior corrosion resistance.
Glass-Fused-to-Steel (GFS) Bolted Tanks are the industry’s top choice for large industrial raw material storage, specially designed for high-purity fish oil.

Glass fused to steel is a permanent, molecular bond created by fusing a specially formulated silica-based glass enamel to a base sheet of steel at very high temperatures (around 820°C / 1500°F) ,combines the advantages of both materials -- the strength and flexibility of steel and excellent anti-corrosion properties of glass.

The Advantages of GFS tanks for Fish Oil Storage
● Enamel features extremely high chemical inertness with no precipitation of metal ions, thus avoiding catalyzed oxidation of fish oil and the formation of peroxides.
● Fully resistant to oils and fats, weak acids (trace free fatty acids contained in fish oil), as well as corrosion caused by aquatic fish oil impurities such as hydrogen sulfide (H₂S).
● Black light-shielding enamel lining is available to block light and inhibit photo-oxidation of Omega-3.
● Adopted airtight sealing structure, equipped with nitrogen purging and inert gas blanketing systems to realize oxygen-free storage throughout the whole process.
● Modular design, large capacity ranging from 10 to 5000 m³; low-temperature thermal insulation layer is optional (the optimal storage temperature for fish oil: 0–10℃).
● Easy assembly, low maintenance & food-grade safety. GFS panels are prefabricated in factory for fast on-site installation. The smooth, non-stick enamel surface is easy to clean and sterilize, meeting food & pharmaceutical storage requirements for high-purity fish oil.
● Stable long-term performance & cost-effective. Unlike plastic or ordinary steel tanks, enamel lining will not age, rust or contaminate contents over years, greatly reducing later maintenance and replacement costs.
