Demountable, relocatable and reusable Glass-Fused-to-Steel Bolted Tanks
description
Key Points for Tank Disassembly
1.Pre-disassembly Preparations
● Drain all water, residues and contaminants inside the tank, and thoroughly flush the inner tank wall.
● Disconnect all external pipelines and cables; remove ladders, guardrails and other external accessories.
● Prepare tools, rubber cushion pads, wrapping film and identification labels.
2.Disassembly Sequence
● Start from the uppermost tank wall; loosen bolts and remove enamel side panels layer by layer.
● Loosen bolts in diagonal sequence to prevent enamel edge damage caused by spring-back force of steel plates.
● Dismantle the bottom-layer side panels.
3.Technical Key Points for Controlling Disassembly-Reassembly Losses
● Standardize disassembly and assembly torque. Violent bolt tightening is prohibited to avoid chipping of enamel at panel edges and corners.
● Isolate panels with rubber cushions during transportation to prevent collision impacts.
● Replace all bolts with new ones.
● Repair chipped enamel areas with special enamel repair compound before putting the tank into service again.

Material Characteristics of Glass-Fused-to-Steel Tanks
-Low Carbon, High Strength, High Titanium.
Glass-fused-to-steel tanks adopt a special high-strength enamelled steel as their steel substrate. This material possesses distinctive design features and excellent performance, whose mechanical parameters covering yield strength, tensile strength and elongation are much higher than those of standard steel sheets.
