Ceramic Ultrafiltration Equipment to Improve Pure Water Quality
description
Ceramic ultrafiltration equipment, equipped with ceramic UF membranes, delivers excellent performance in improving the outlet water quality of water treatment plants.
Ceramic membranes are inorganic ultrafiltration membranes for water treatment developed based on traditional tubular and flat-sheet ceramic membrane technologies. It is made from highstrength α- Al2O3 calcined at high temperatures, serving as an inorganic membrane with excellent separation precision, chemical resistance, thermal stability, and mechanical strength.

For water purification plant, the treatment process is as below:
Raw water -- Water pretreatment system -- RO water treatment system --UF purification system -- UV disinfection -- Outlet pure water
According to the WHO's Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality, it is recommended to strengthen monitoring and prioritize the removal of microplastics >0.1 μm, ceramic UF equipment is better choice compares with organic materials such as PVC, PE, and PDFE.

(pore size of ceramic uf membrane)
In water treatment plants, the core function of ultrafiltration membranes is physical sieving. Like an "extra-fine sieve," it efficiently removes suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, viruses, and other harmful substances from the water with its extremely small pores, thereby significantly improving the safety and sensory quality of drinking water.
Ceramic ultrafiltration (UF) system, installed at the polishing stage of purified water equipment, serves as the final barrier to remove microplastics, colloids, bacteria and viruses completely.
* Made of inorganic ceramic material (Al₂O₃), no plastic components, eliminating plasticizer migration and microplastic shedding risk.
* Pore size 30–50 nm, ≥99.9% removal efficiency for microplastics (0.1–50 μm) and colloids.
* Effluent turbidity ≤0.1 NTU, meeting GB 5749-2022 and T/CSUS 119-2025 standards for plastic-free drinking water.
