Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane Water Purification Solutions

Ceramic membranes are inorganic ultrafiltration membranes for water treatment developed based on traditional tubular and flat-sheet ceramic membrane technologies. It is made from highstrength α- Al2O3 calcined at high temperatures, serving as an inorganic membrane with excellent separation precision, chemical resistance, thermal stability, and mechanical strength. Compared to traditional multi-channel tubular ceramic membranes, the high-filling columnar type offers a filtration area of 10–25 m² per tube, providing greater packing density and processing capacity. Ceramic UF Membrane offers advantages such as easy cleaning, long service life, high strength, oil resistance, strong acid/alkali resistance, and high flux. It employs advanced inorganic eco-friendly filtration materials and cross-flow separation technology, significantly enhancing filtration efficiency. It is widely used in drinking water treatment system, food/bevery industry and wastewater treatment system.

    description

Ceramic membrane is inorganic ultra-filtration membrane made of Al2o3, which used for water treatment system developed based on traditional tubular and flat-sheet ceramic membrane. It effectively solves the technical defects found in the use of traditional ultrafiltration membranes (Organic membrane -- PVDF, PES, PVC)such as fiber breakage, membrane fouling, and membrane lifespan etc. Its advantages of easy cleaning, long service life, high strength, oil resistance, strong acid/alkali resistance, and high flux make it a better choice for drinking water, food and chemical industry.

It boasts high packing density. A single membrane column can achieve a filtration area of 12.5 - 24.5 square meters, which gives the module strong processing capacity while saving installation space. Its standardized and modular design allows vertical or horizontal installation like reverse osmosis frames, and it can be compatible with traditional organic membrane ultrafiltration systems, simplifying system piping arrangement

The difference from ceramic UF membrane from organic membrane

    Ceramic ultrafiltration membranes:
This filter membrane, made from inorganic ceramic materials through high-temperature baking, features high wear resistance, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, long service life, and environmental friendliness.
It is particularly hygienic for use in the tap water, food, and pharmaceutical industries.

    Organic ultrafiltration membranes:
These are filtration membranes produced from organic materials such as PVC, PE, and PDFE using a chemical sol-gel process. They are susceptible to damage from strong acids and alkalis, prone to peeling and fiber breakage, and have a short lifespan.
They are used in tap water, food, and pharmaceutical industries where aging of treated water may result in the precipitation of microplastic particles, causing micro-pollutants.

Ceramic UF membrane has its own advantages such as excellent high-temperature resistance, chemical corrosion , and superior mechanical strength.
Specially the big filter area while insure bigger treatment capacity compare with traditional membrane.

Ceramic ultrafiltration membranes have become an irreplaceable or more advantageous choice in the following fields:
    Food and Beverage Industry:
High-Temperature Pasteurization or Sterilization: Such as filtration and sterilization of milk and juice.
Alcoholic Beverage Clarification: Clarification of wine, beer, and spirits; can withstand frequent CIP (Cleaning in Place).
Dairy Concentration: Whey protein concentration, skim milk concentration.
    Biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry:
High-temperature sterilization requirements: sterilization and pyrogen removal for water for injection, vaccines, and antibiotics.
Demanding cleaning environments: production lines requiring frequent cleaning and disinfection using strong acids, strong alkalis, and high-temperature steam.
    Chemical and Process Industries:
Strong acid/alkali environments: Catalyst recovery, purification and concentration of strong acid and alkali solutions.
High-temperature organic solvents: Filtration and separation of high-temperature solvents in the petrochemical industry.
Nanomaterial separation: Ceramic membranes are inherently stable and do not react with many nanoparticles.
    Environmental protection and water treatment:
High-difficulty wastewater: Treats difficult-to-treat industrial wastewater such as oily wastewater, emulsions, and electrophoretic paint wastewater; can withstand strong cleaning agents.
Membrane bioreactor (MBR): Used in municipal or industrial MBR projects requiring long lifespan and low maintenance.
